At least the battle system is looking a lot more fluid compared to Zestiria and they seem to have ditched the partner system which is probably their smartest move so far. Do we know who is doing the soundtrack? Is it just Sakaruba alone?

Hmm, I'm possibly interested, but Xillia 1 and 2 turned me sour with how repetitive they are for a sense of "completion". Hell, 2 didn't even require you to 100% the game for it to get extremely repetitive.
How did Zestiria turn out in this sense? Oh, the other thing I'm burned out on is your teammates having horrible AI no matter how good you set them up. Its like they ignore what you specifically set them to do in battle.

For me, this is the make or break point. Xillia 1 was rushed, Xillia 2 was a cashgrab, and Zestiria was a mess. Destiny had spell chaining. Esentially, the more spells you cast the shorter the casting time.
This also applies to chaining strike artes but to a lesser degree.
It's not all about the spells though, those characters are fun to use because they have a decent amount of strike Artes unlike Jade, Genis, Raine, Keele, etc
Casters on Graces feels pretty shit because their only strike artes are tied to the A-artes tree which as a mechanic sucks ass because it rail-roads you.
Most of Malik strike artes are shit, for example.

Yeah, I wasn't fond of controlling Malik. I did like Rowen once you got his fast casting unlocked.
For me the main thing is being able to choose spells in real time without having to hog all the attack bindings, so the ability to cast different spells from the same button while also speeding up based on number of actions is very nice.
