If you're looking for low spec stuff to last you a long time I'd recommend Hellduvers, Rocket League, and roguelites such as Enter the Gungeon/Crypt of the Necrodancer/Binding of Isaac as well.
The first two are fun multiplayer games with active online, and the latter tend to be 100+ hours long, easily, if you enjoy them.

You don't "need" a laptop for university work. With the exception of programming you can do everything with pen and paper. If your university isn't shit you can go to the library and use the free computers there for miscellaneous work.

The dark brotherhood DLC are just daily assassination missions in existing over world locations. Yes, there is a new area to explore, which is used in conjunction with the TDB main quest line, but is dwarfed by the Orcsinium DLC in content and exploration. It's a fun game and it has some major flaws, but I'll take this game over all the Korean grind simulators I've played in the past decade. Also no pay to win or magical Stat panties.
Definitely get it on sale, but not for console.
