I thought Richardson was a great character and his voice acting was pretty neat too.
You couldnt be with the Enclave by virtue of being a wastelander. They have every intention of killing you.

I guess it could've worked despite the PC being a mutant, after all, Frank is a mutant and they keep him on just for practical reasons, and the chosen one is the player character and therefore the most competent being in the universe.
If he were willing they'd do well to take him on as a member, just treated like a weapon like Frank essentially.

You misinterpreted the opening. The Enclave just killed that family when the Vault 13 door opened. They kidnapped the people of the vault after that. Although you're right, the Enclave conducted FEV experiments on them after they kidnapped them.

On my character that was pure anti drug, and low endurance I had to use the stimpack trick. Although thats kind of fitting for that character, someone who doesn't have the body to take any form of drug kills his enemy through an overdose.

Fallout 1 probably did it best. Most options to finish up the finale, built for almost any character. I do give fallout 2 an excuse since alot was cut and rushed due to time and shit.

While it's nice to have the option, it doesn't make a villain entirely flawed and cartoony because you can't talk them down; you can't always talk people down IRL either.
