Final world is pretty good. One of the last stages pulls an easter egg from Kirby's Adventure in the style in that games last stage. Also I found the later HAL one. Pretty sure theres a HAL room at the start of the game.

Just hearing that jackass chuckle and laugh throughout the fight made it the more memorable, including when he shoots a laser out of his mouth. And in the finale you send him flying into NOVA was pretty satisfying as well.And Marx Soul fight was the first time HAL introduced the True Arena, and a secret final fight at the end.

Not him but fire is pretty damn good for one of the common and basic abilities. It deals decent damage and the dash attack is fantastic. There are better abilities but I would still say it is far from bad.
What makes you say ice and ninja are better? Ninja always seemed like shit honestly to me. I'm upset you can't repeatably wall dash like mega man x with it in robobot.

That's not true though, the other Kirbys just spontaneously appear next to him in most of the early games, and there are other instances like the bonus game in Adventure when another Kirby runs out from the side of the screen to flip the sign. I don't think it was until Super Star where you can see stars split out from Kirby into his backup dancers.

Ninja does extremely well damage with the needle things if you want to be defensive, and holding b makes shock waves deal tons of damage. Ninjas throw also does a shit ton of damage when you grab a star near a boss and chuck it at them, and its block can dodge all damage with a decent counter attack if timed right.
Ice has a really high damage dash air attack for bosses, and the snowball is great with crowds or getting behind bosses. and it even has a block that makes you take no damage

Kirby fans tend to agree that while Squeak Squad might be seen as a weak link by some, there's never been a legitimately bad Kirby game.I've seen people saying that Kirby 64 is shit, and it makes me sad. I can see where they're coming from, admittedly, but it's nowhere near a bad game.
Also, I haven't even jumped into any of the arenas yet, but I'm definitely a little nervous about this one because the final boss was like 4 consecutive phases and my depth perception was really fucking me up at parts. It makes it feel really sketchy as to how to dodge certain laser patterns. I'm afraid I'll scrape through by the skin of my teeth only to get fucked by the final boss, and at some point it will stop being fun to keep trying.

Well I've been playing Kirby games all my life, I do legitimately feel these are stellar games, but they are literally made for me at this point and they made me.
I suppose if /v/ is any indication I also tend to let myself enjoy stuff more than the regular joe, I just can't be cynical paying Kirby, big smile throughout.
I think the games have been getting better, every now and then I'll think a lot about the design and what works. Like, Kirby 64 was my first Kirby game, big nostalgia boner, favourite for a long time, but I've been really critical of it looking back and figuring out what sets it back.I'd say git gud but I'm used to the Arena abuse, I still remember how happy I was to beat SSU's True Arena the first time around

Kirby raped me when I was eight.
Basically I spent all of my savings on Crystal Shards and beat it in two hours. Unlocked and beat 02 in another hour.
Suddenly I had no more game to play and the store refused to take it back. All I could do was sit and wait a whole year, watching as games like Paper Mario and Final Fantasy 7 passed me by. I swore that I would never fall for the pink jew again and to this day I can't play PM without an overwhelming sensation of disappointment.

I like that they bring back Kabula, but he's so much easier than in Dreamland 1. I kind of wanted him to be an incredibly tough boss fight. I guess he's challenging if you don't heal in the arena.
Still, I gotta give them props for the modifications they made. That green laser that he sprays all over the damn place, that looked cool and was fun to dodge.

I'm satisfied with the games but I wish they'd mix up mainline a bit after three games in a row with the very same formula. Go for another Super Star or Amazing Mirror game structure but all new, or some new way to shake up the structure, like maybe one big net of stages that connect to each other in a nonlinear way.

Yes. Cube is very scary at first but manageable with max speed and it's not the worst part. The fire stage is a nightmare but at least it's short, level 9 is where the shit becomes impossible.
