I know it's a meme game, but I laughed all the way through Undertale mostly because it kept changing its style so often and always managed to surprise me. It did so through dialogue, gameplay, the setting, etc. all in equal amounts. And different characters were funny for different reasons.
Borderlands relied too heavily on hilaaaaarious "quips" and blocks of dialogue. Anthony Burch definitely tried too hard to channel Joss Whedon, and it shows (and Burch is admittedly a giant Whedon fan).

You've been tricked. The multiplayer is fine, but the campaign missions are all terrible. Just fight dozens of waves of enemies before you move on to fight more waves of enemies. And all the bosses are identical in that they have 20 seconds of vulnerability and then they go invincible while you press a switch and/or fight more waves of enemies before you're able to hit them again.
Playing it multiplayer is far worse because everything gets extra health, especially the bosses.

That level of self awareness really shows just how absolutely unconfident the writers are with their comedic skills.
1- The game was marketed as a Overwatch competitor to piggyback the Blizzard buzz, which obviously backfired horribly when people found a unpolished FPS MOBA instead of a team shooter.
2- The price is ridiculous, the sorry excuse for a "history campaign" it has in no way justifies $60, the game should have been $20 and the history merely a optional thing to get cosmetics, not heroes.
3- The timing for release was beyond stupid, no need to explain this further.
4- Lack of content both in maps and cosmetics, all the hero "skins" were just color palettes changes, maps got repetitive and boring fast, only 1 map worth playing.
5- Consolification of PC Version, view models that cover the entire screen and skills/attacks that require no skill at all to pull off and kill with no effort.
This and a lot of other details killed the game, its a shame really because i dont like mobas but i enjoyed the beta of this game, is really fun when you get the hang of it.
I made a similar thread on the official forums when the free beta was going on and got blocked almost instantly, then when they announced the instant price drop after seeing no one was buying i made it again and got blocked again, i guess they are the head in the sand kinda guys.
