Generally speaking it's simply not true, when you look at the big picture, when you look at new releases and what's to come in the future consoles do a better job at running and rendering the games. On top of that what's the point of a $300 PC? You don't get the davantages of PC (higher performance for higher price) and you don't get the advantages of consoles (plug and play, no trouble shooting, no bullshit, physical copies) and that's not even mentioning the exclusives.
