Every year its the same shit. Trailer is leaked, people cream themselves because of a CGI sequence that is "in game" as much as the opening movie of the game. Then everyone loses it over some quick time event that is "ingame" thinking theyll have this level of control over the character.

Im optimistic but we really do need to calm the fuck down when a dev says "this is ingame". Until a gameplay video surfaces or a demo take it all as bullshit no exceptions.

most of the time I invested in Batman AC was playing the fucking combat-challenge mode. I finally got three stars on Joker's Carnival, where you needed to get like 1000x hits in a row twice in a row to even have a chance at 3 stars. That shit was intense

you could have something like Uncharted 4 but with bamham combat and the openness of say Arkham City. The climbing could actually be fun because cap is insanely superhuman (could work like how Catwoman climbs), and the cinematic style would suit the game, considering it'd most definitely be based on movie Cap / Chris Evans. and they would want it to feel consistent with the actual movies.

It could have sweet setpieces, like escaping an exploding hostile heli-carrier while fighting a huge boss or some shit.

Moonswinging = hovering and flying around while it cycles through the same fake swinging animations over and over

Real swinging = you can attach your web to a flag pole and swing round and round on it building up momentum then launch really far.

Or you can attach your line to a helicopter and just hang on for the ride.

Or you can do complex swinging tricks and navigate tight mazes by attaching your line to one thing, swinging part way, letting go and attaching a line to something else and swinging sideways, then jumping off and swinging the other way

It's like you want to play a racing game where the terrain's slope and elevation make no difference to how your car is moving. Might as well just have the track be a flat texture on the ground but with no physical boundaries so you can just drive in a straight line forever

Moonswinging is like that one next gen side scrolling Sonic game where he can stand perfectly still on the vertical part of a half pipe.

Sonic 1 2 and 3 all had physics so you had to play around with building up momentum on half pipes and slopes. If you stopped or got hit you were penalized by having to slowly start up again. Skilled players could use the ramps and loops to build up speed and go smoothly through the level.

well they wouldn't be truly randomly generated, they would be more like seeds. The interiors could be composed of building-blocks (like cubicles or hallways) that could be arranged and assembled to make a part of a floor of a building. The assets used in these building-blocks of the interiors could just be kept fresh in memory, ready for when a player is going to make a jump, and then placed on the specific building floor when the player decides to actually make the jump.

I don't, really, but how could the developers even contain him to a linear environment? He could easily run and jump and climb over any normal-looking obstacle you would use to try and keep the player from leaving the game area. Either they would have to dumb down his abilities or they would have to use shit like invisible walls
