ITT: We speculate what they are, how broken they will be, whether it will run on the same engine as Skyrim and FO4, and generally shitpost about Bethesda.
Pic entirely unrelated
Fallout 3 Remaster
Fallout 4 Remaster for PS4.5 and Xbox Scorpio in VR
Keep buying into the Remaster cancer, assholes.
>>341443335
Do you think they'd have the balls to drop that much cancer at once like that?
That would be a serious middle finger.
>>341442674
We're gonna have new quest systems, radiant back at it baby, and more innovative than ever! Intricate, deep storylines, playertested by our best, most intelligent workers to ensure that we have the most capable, and accessible gameplay yet! We're gonna redefine the entire franchise this time, and more people are gonna buy it than ever!
That being said, I honestly just wish I could get another Obsidian Fallout. And I hope to god they don't do Elder Scrolls like they did Fallout, and voice the fucking protag, and make it mass effect lite.
>Neither game will be New Vegas 2
Depends, is it Bethesda dev split into two teams or is it Bethesda and some other dev house?
My guess is TES 6 and another fallout
They probably got Obsidian or some other third party to make a full priced mod for fo4 to wane people for another year while they're making YES6
Let's say hypothetically at least one of them is an entire new franchise, what do you think they might pull out of their ass or what would you like to see them try to do?
I think a Bethesda open-world Borlderands type deal might be pretty cool. But then it would probably just be "Skyrim with Guns" or "Fallout without the bombs".
>>341444183
Borderlands by Bethesda would be a trainwreck and everyone knows it.
>>341444183
Since they tried to make Fallout 4 into post apoc mass effect, I'm guessing they'll try for some spacey shit with an original IP. Or, well, Beth isn't that original, I'd imagine they'd pull an ancient IP out of their ass and remake it like they did with Fallout 3, and hope for the same success.
One is The Elder Scrolls VI.
The other isBrink 2
>>341443997
Or maybe it's a wildcard
Maybe Tango or Machinegames have been working on some sekrit new IP
>>341444323
I fell for the first Brink. They'd be stupid to try that shit again.
>>341444328
Machinegames are a lot better than they have any right to be. They're mostly made up of Butcher Bay and the Darkness devs now, and with Wolfenstein being so fun I'd probably pick up whatever they make.
>>341444323
Don't even joke about that kind of cancer.
>>341444304
Space seems likely. That's what's "hot" right now. (See: CoD, BF, Civ, No Mans Sky, Stellaris, Etc.)
>bethesda
It will be shit. All their games are shit.
>>341442674
How about a new engine?
>>341444708
>bethesda
>new engine
>>341444708
>>341444861
>>341444708
>Bethesda
>Using anything but a version of Gamebryo so patched up it's not even the Gamebryo engine anymore
Get a load of this guy!
>>341444708
>>341445072
>>341444861
>>341444708
There is literally nothing wrong with Gamebryo
>>341445635
todd pls
>>341445635
>>341444431
>>341444568
I was joking. Besides, Brink was made by Splash Damage and published by Bethesda.
Maybe the other one is a sequel to New VegasI hope
And the game is so good they won't even hint at their existence on their expensive book conference.
Sorry Todd, I have fallen for your lies before. This time? Not this time
>>341443964
With Fallout 4 they confirmed how they pretend NV never existed. We'll have to conform with fallout:minecraft sequels
>>341445635
Is it true that they can't put functional ladders in gamebyro?
>>341447419
some mods in new vegas and maybe fo3 adds it
>>341447419
mods can do it but it fucks up NPCs
>>341447419
Are you serious they can't handle fucking ladder technology
I just realized I supported Bethesda for the first time of my life by purchasing Doom. I regret it.
>>341442674
>two upcoming games as big as skyrim and fallout
So, it's going to be as big as Minesweeper from Windows 95? Because Skyrim and Fallout had small bits of "something" scattered around a whole lot of "nothing".
>>341443964
last thing we need is bethesda fucking up obsidians handywork.
>>341442674
The Elder Scrolls VI: Valenwood (AKA Project Greenheart)
Wolfenstein: New Colossus (Teased during BE3 press conference)
>>341443964
>New Vegas is the best 3D Fallout
>Obsidian are busy doing isometric wankery
>>341447419
Divinity 2 has ladders and that shit runs on Gamebryo
>>341450115
Didn't New Vegas have ladders too? I seem to remember climbing a ladder to get to the top of a guard tower.
>>341445635
It's unsuitable for open world games, like Elder Scrolls. It's a piece of shitmengine that should have been abandoned after Oblivion.
>>341450353
IIRC ladders in NV were just teleporters
Skyrim 3
Fallout 4 2
>>341442674
I can actually add to this.
At E3 during an interview Todd said that the next Elder Scrolls game was 'a long way off' stating that they didn't currently have the tech for what they wanted to do with TES:VI and so it would be a long time before they could release it.
He also mentioned that Bethesda (Game Studios, not Softworks) are also working on 2 other large projects that he couldn't talk about at the time. He said these will probably show up before TES6 but are still some way off just yet.
So we have TES6 and 2 additional 'Projects' being worked on by Bethesda the studio (so no games made by other companies then published by Bethesda Softworks).
Also apparently TES6 is beyond Bethesda's current technology (probably meaning their current iteration of Gamebryo can't do what they want it to do because it's a Frankensteined corpse that should have been put to rest years ago).
Skyrim Shelter
Fallout Trading Card Game
>>341444708
That cost money my friend.
Do you think that mansion on Florida pays itself?
How about my cool car? I'm not made of money.
>>341452173
>Also apparently TES6 is beyond Bethesda's current technology (probably meaning their current iteration of Gamebryo can't do what they want it to do because it's a Frankensteined corpse that should have been put to rest years ago).
Finally.
>>341452263
>Bethesda (and id) both have a multitude of engines some of which can easily handle open world
>still invest in the "creation engine" and upgrade that instead
>>341447419
This can't be real.
>>341452351
>They just upgrade Gamebryo again, bugs and all, tacking more parts on in the desperate hope to not have to make or learn an actual new engine
How mad would you be?
>>341443335
I'd take a fallout 3 with an 64-bit binary.
Todd already confirmed TES 6 in an interview.
HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
>>341445635
I enjoy Bethesda games but let's keep it real.
Gamebryo is a shit tier engine
someday they'll have to move on from Gamebryo
hopefully sooner rather than later
>>341454829
I think you're overestimating their ability try keep reusing the same shit over and over again
>>341453049
Very. They have to make the ultimate modding platform.
>>341449903
>isometric wankery
isn't that what they always have done?
>>341455098
Why not take mods and implement them as game features? Oh wait they did you just have to pay for it
