Because that's the only thing left to do in the game if the base game is shit itself. The meta has an effect on the regular playthroughs, too. 90% of the Dragons are straight up unusable because Fairies destroy them so hard. It's like the problem with Ice or Bug types being garbage for in game runs because they die to everything and you need to overlevel them to not have to item spam them to keep them alive.

Just a warning about the music, though - everything in the game is amazing, except for the NLA night theme which is pure audio cancer.
Oblivia's is the best, though. It just fits so perfectly with how brutal the continent is. It's the mid-late game continent that you go to after you've trained in Cauldros and Sylvalum for a bit. Just imagine if the place you spawned in in Breath of the Wind was 90% of those Guardians and giant rock guys that can OHKO you on a whim, and a bunch of small boars running around underneath their feet. That's Oblivia.
It helps that there is a level 40-50 monster that spawns flying over the bridge connecting Primordia and Oblivia, just to give you a heads up on what you're about to get into.
