Yeah, I notice something.

I notice that /v/ is formed by a bunch of misanthropes who much like fat americans accusing MCDonalds of making them fat, accuse videogames for making them socially repulsive, and mentally retarded.

They can dismiss the work of over hundreds of developers and artists in one swift go, by calling any game shit before knowing anything about it, and then they will nitpick said games to justify their piracy habit.

In the mind of the /v/edditor:
>Sure the game is shit, therefore I should not pay for it, so it is okay if I pirate it and play it for hundreds of hours
>I am not having fun anyways
>when will this fucking industry crash?

It is like a drug addict hoping for the crackhouse he is in to catch fire, and collapse.

The most common response in /v/ is kill yourself, and it is not a coincidence, that is what most /v/edditors want, they want to die. They are not having fun, they merely want to die, they had enjoyed the pleasure of videogames, but refused to let it go, and much like the kid who ate nothing but candy, he blames diabettes on the delicious candy he enjoyed, not on himself, not on his lack of self control.

For the disgusting /v/edditor, he is judge jury and executioner of gaming, he is never wrong, and it is never his own fault.

There is no console, hardware, nor game the /v/edditor can enjoy. The biggest gift for him would be an actual life away from gaming, but they are much to cowardly to pursue it.

That's honestly professional looking compared to most Western studios. I've seen some that could be easily mistaken for a high school drama class. Yet, it's still the fucking Western devs with their unprofessional lax work environment that will blame their consumers for flops, whereas the Japs treat customers like a real business would.

You constantly hear the bullshit about them wanting video games to "grow up". How much do you wanna bet that "growing up" doesn't include respecting their consumers, not being agenda pushing retards on social media, acting and dressing professionally at work, and not blaming the fucking world for your failures?

The western studio design has been proven to increase working efficiency

There is a reason Google employs similar spacing and most successful start ups are the same. Say what you want about the developers and "professionalism" but one works and the other doesn't. Honestly, if the Japanese just embraced western work culture, they would probably produce many more high quality games on top of the quality games they produce now.

What exactly is "western work culture" here? I'm pretty sure what you mean is the American "I'm an individual" bullshit. Western work culture is not pretending to be busy and working for the sake of filling hours. It's working while productive and not caring about keeping up appearances.

Eastern workplaces are notoriously inefficient while working by far the longest hours. They just don't fucking get it.

Western studio looks way better. I don't work in the game industry since I work in the finance sector but the difference in working at place like Linkedin (more like western) compared to Ernst and Young (slightly more like eastern) is massive. The essence of war is deception... When you are ready to attack, you must create the impression that you will not attack... Keep plans as dark and impenetrable as night...The highest form of victory is to conquer by strategy...

Japan has adopted these concepts in their economic warfare with the United States. Japan appeared to be "no threat" and pretended to be a docile pig, in the 60's, 70's, 80's, and especially the 90's, they have been feasting on the American government and taxpayers.

Japan, along with Asia's four newly risen dragons; Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, and Singapore, all utilize these basic strategies. The concept of "deception" is the essential element when the small need to compete with the large and strong. As Sun Tzu said, "If one is able and strong, then one should disguise oneself in order to appear inept and weak." After attempting military supremacy in World War II and failing, Japan has now chosen to conquer the world economically -- If she had made this intention clear, her victory would never have been possible. The secret of Asian economic success is worthy of America's respect and fear. Most of all, we should learn to adopt their winning strategies to enhance our own victory.

We must learn from their choice of ceiling lighting.

We can examine Japan's economic success. Japan, is riding on the tail of America's industrial research and development efforts and is beating America at the finish line of economic competition. Without detection, the Japanese have been reaping the benefits of America's ingenuity. In the past several decades, Japan has accumulated trillions of dollars of trade surplus from the American consumers. Along the way, Japan has totally wiped out the American consumer electronics and computer memory chip industries and is had threatened to wipe out another; the automobile industry. What no one could see coming was the Midas Touch of Nintendo.

Also, America's debt to China only grows with each passing day.

>a gay gaudy hostess bar, if there is such a thing
There is
>in tips
Japan doesn't have tipping.

Actually most host clubs in Japan work like this:
Handsome men there at the bar for ugly or lonely women to feel special. Main goal is to get them to spend money at the bar buying drinks.
The ultimate goal is the champagne bottle which costs a lot. After a success job at getting the woman to have a fun and expensive time hit her with the bill. Usually if the host hit his champagne goal it is way too much for her to afford. The owners then put her in their debt and make her work their hostess clubs as a means to pay off her debt where she works flirting with salarymen trying to get them to spend money on drinks. Sometimes this enters an illegal realm of prostitution to pay off debts.

Yeah, it reminds me of that movie about a New York City newspaper's affairs and inner workings when two black kids from Harlem end up framed for a mafia murder.

I really liked that movie and the atmosphere; lots of energy and frantically paced. That 90's charm also got me pretty hype.

Unlike today's offices where shit is cold and without feeling.

This studio is pretty calm and professional looking. Even if it looks cold it feels like there's shit getting done and feels human. I've seen and been in worse offices, especially those that want to "modernize".

There's actually a position in salaryman culture which translates to "by the window", as in the desk you get given because it's further to walk and they don't expect to give you much work because you're old and not in a senior position. If you're old and haven't gotten promotions, they think you're useless (because Japanese culture is strongly about youth).

Those are all right next to each other, and the only time brainstorming gets done there is if we have a visitor to the lab or want a place to sit to interview people.

>Also, we have whiteboards
Of course we do. Couldn't draw diagrams and illustrations of cells and drugs and whatnot otherwise.

>And agreed, fuck that twat.
Of course. Everyone has thinking space, but to pretend this new wave of libcuck bullshit in the work place like "dedicated brainstorming rooms for synergy!" are necessary is ridiculous. I worked a "business-ish" job when I was younger, and any sort of meeting in those rooms literally got nothing done and just made me want to kill everyone in the room.

This. I mean, goodness, trying to reduce patient morbidity and mortality with groundbreaking work, but can't work out the quarterly budget or finalise the grant application. Filling out that paper work to speed up with conducting multiple double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomised, multicenter, 24-week Phase 1 clinical studies on that cancer killing, bioactive compound, after its been shown not to kill healthy cells, lab mice, and larger mammals, etc. (And all other prior work.)
