Nope. He fabricated flaws with Ocarina of Time just to pad out the video more. He compared two games with identical "flaws" and purposely excluded A Link to the Past flaws.
For example, he bitches about not being able to reach death mountain from the start. This exact fact is true for ALTTP.
There is also more waiting in ALTTP. He bitches about the cutscene when switching between adult and child Link. Something that's not required to do very often. Meanwhile, you're constantly required to equip a mirror and wait for a five second transition between dimensions in ALTTP.
He bitched about having to wait to go through doors. This process takes hardly any longer than the screen moving in ALTTP, and that's not even just doors.
Nothing of what I mentioned is actually a flaw, from either game. It's nitpicky shit for ADD retards like Egoraptor, and I'm only pointing out this stuff from the SNES game because it also doesn't meet his absurd standards.

Top-down 2D Zelda games have been made continually even after OoT came out. In fact, the very next Zelda games released, Oracle of Season/Ages, were in that style. If you want to complain about a game creating a style change, blame Wind Waker for the cateyed Link games. Every other title is similar in design to the original game or OoT.

I get what you mean. Ocarina of Time was pretty much a sacred cow along with games like Halo, FF7, Super Mario 64, or Chrono Trigger. Those games were all pretty much universally hailed as some of the best games ever on consoles. The game wastes too much of my time for me to consider it well designed. Any ocarina usage that aren't changing the time of day or summoning epona is useless. Every single use of zelda's lullaby or song of time inside dungeons could be replaced with a lever, and should be, as every one of those interactions ruin the ocarina. What was supposed to be a unique puzzle tool is instead a button prompt; you see the sign, you play the song. It's not a puzzle, you're following directions.
People cite Ocarina for exploration but to me it doesn't feel like I'm exploring anything when I'm being hand led where to go and what to do.
All the dungeon puzzles outside of "play zelda's lullaby" are variations of "shoot the eye," "kill all the enemies," "light the torches," or my (least) favorite "collect the gems." I played the game on release and it still felt degrading being led so obviously. The game feeds you what you need to do in a way that would be too touchy feely even in a mario games. compare the relatively little hand holding in 64's level design and how varied its objects become to the way Ocarina railroads you through dungeons with puzzles that haven't changed since the fucking Deku tree.
