and that's fine but it it was the first iteration of the game, the second he was more of a bumbling miniboss and not a really credible threat. now they're making him the final boss again in what's going to a predictable "mario gets sent to a new island and saves it from bowser" storyline. it's been done over and over. even PM64 had the whole star rod thing going for it and the subplot with all the star spirits and twink becoming a full star spirit.
