What damage am i even controlling?I liked the trailer and for the meanings behind it intentional or not. The aesthetic was great, the visuals were great, the music was great. I'm certainly not a kojimadrone. The man hasn't made a good game since MGS3 and MGS5 was dead on arrival for me. But this trailer is hardly pretentious and i feel like regardless of what he showed antikojimas would have called it terrible anyway.

My interpretation was more like he kept going back into the past to find his childhood and find happiness, literally, but he couldn't understand the biblical and metaphorical implications of his circumstance, and the only thing typing all of this tragedy together was death and decay hence the title of the game.
