I played it all day on the release of PT and couldn't complete it. I spent hours following walkthroughs etc and for whatever reason could not complete it.
I have never played a game that is more terrifying than PT. My heart beat the fastest it has ever beaten and I was sweating buckets.
I eventually gave up on beating it, stopped at mid night and went down stairs for a snack. I turned on the lights in the living room. I then went to turn on the lights in the kitchen and the bulb of the ceiling light shot out and smashed on the floor. It also fused the whole of the lights down stairs. So everything went bitch black and it caught me off guard and I ran at break neck speed back up stairs whilst screaming like a little girl.
I fucking couldn't sleep properly for weeks after that and every time i closed my eyes I would see her face.
It was a terrible experience but at the same time very well crafted. I was sad to hear that PT got cancelled but I was never going to play it. I couldn't handle a small segment of that shit so what would it be like trying to play a whole game as scary as that?
I couldn't play the RE7 demo although I did watch it. I went to play it after watching it and I just had a rush of terror because I was in control and RE7 is so similar to PT it is unreal.
Nothing will top PT. The visuals, the design and the fucking noises were just amazingly done. It was so terrifying and whats more I actually enjoy junji ito stories a lot and they have really scared me in the past. It is a damn shame PT will never be made.

He was limited by Konami and gained freedom after his departure. Youll see Del Toro in the credits for whatever part he had in the game. I think Kojima is the last one who really cares about rockstar status he was well known for a while. But other unknown people who work with him do care and want some of that spotlight. At the end they work together to create something new. Can't remember someone who felt left out in his last projects.

Kojima is an overrated hack as many people have been saying since MGS4, if not earlier. Like George Lucas, the more creative freedom he was given the worse off the final product. Twin Snakes was a port of MGS2 to the GCN by Silicon Knights then modded into MGS1 with new horrible cutscenes by some over the top director which Kojima chose and desired and approved. He had total creative control over that remake and it was awful. When finally given the reigns with MGS4, he ruined it. With MGSV all being on him.... Welp. It's time for this hack to retire
