Its miles ahead of persona 4. Combat is a bit awkward since you cant control your party members. Sometimes they work with you, and other times they go full retard.
That being said. The story is cool, the social links are cool. Tartarus is pretty interesting, albeit it gets a bit boring towards the end. I'd definitely say that its worth playing, but its a loooong game anon.
It's not worth playing unless you get the PSP version.

I don't really agree with this. Part of the fun is exploring and trying to find more social links and reading a guide kinda ruins that feel. I would suggest leaving a 100% run for when you try to play through it again.
I will give some tips though and tell OP to focus on maxing S. links above everything else, always have a matching Persona when social linking and leaving stat raising for times when you don't have anyone to go out with. Remember that the game gives you LOADS of time to do this.
I like that Game for the Music and having sort of "Friends" and a pure Waifu who loves you.
