I am too ready for this. I stopped my first run of DW7 on PS1 when this was announced for JP. I haven't played since. I've been waiting far too long to finish this game. This and DQ3 are the only main line DQ games I haven't finished. The only reason I didn't finish 3 was because I got toAlefgardand then my data was lost in a PC crash.
I've been ready for 6 years. At this point, I expect SquareEnix to come out and just say 'nope, we're no doing it, please buy 5 more copies of FFXV', drop the mic and walk off stage.

There's far more extra features than that. It actually has the most new features of any DQ remake. Its just that most people who got into DQVIII as their first game cared about how amazing the graphics were for a PS2 game.
I don't like that the graphics were made worse. Heck, the game should have been a full HD remake for a console. But since the 3DS sells 10x more than any other console in Japan, its getting the remake.

I expect it will come out in September like a NOA rep estimated. However, it'll come out with zero hype. It'll just show up at wal-mart one day and won't even be released to smaller stores like gamestop.

My wal-mart would have 5-10 copies of a DQ game, while gamestop only had the one I pre ordered. Gamestop might buy more copies later on while Wal mart didn't. But Wal-mart still at least stocked the damn thing outside of pre-orders.
And I've seen plenty of niche tales/neptunia/SMT and etc game at wal-mart. I recently bought Tales of Symphonia for PS3 at Wal-Mart. Long after it came out.

1-3 make a trilogy, with 3 being fucking amazing and bringing it all together.
4-6 are "connected" but nowhere near in the same way. You can totally play just one of them without missing out on anything.
Everything from then on out is standalone, although 9 had a ton of cameos at the inn...I miss Nintendo Wi-Fi.
