The reason for "no bones" in games like wow is that games need to be approved by some chinese council before they are allowed on the chinese market. The rules claim that games should not support superstition (or something vague like that) and because the chinese market is so huge the companies censor themselves in a way to almost 100% make sure that this can't be used a reason to get the game denied.
