God I wish Witcher 3 had a little more variety in the water enemies. It made my no fast travel run rather tedious at times in Skellige
>>
It's not sailing, but in the Silent Hunter games you can just cruise around in your submarine
>>
>>341201648
At least the people seem to be actually playing the game for once, instead of scripted voice actors pretending to be playing an online game you usually get.

I thought it looked fun
>>
>>341197664
I wish there was a faster fucking boat.

Seriously, I just gave up on all those little question marks dotted around Skellige.

exactly what I was about to say. Like fingernails on a chalkboard .
>>

It does look fun, no doubts there, but god damn that endless commentary just kills any sense of hype

Let the game speak for itself and make a longer sizzle reel

The third one is one of my favorite games ever. I have never felt unrelenting terror in a game like I have while crawling along the bottom while a fucking battleship battle group looks for me and hoping I don't get pinged

>the fucking depth charges
>>
>>341202594
From the relative safety of a boat the sea in vidya is generally pretty comfy. Which is good because the open ocean in real life is one of my biggest fears
>>
>>341197664
That's probably the ugliest water I've seen in a game in the past 5 years

Why does it looks like jello

Wtf is that trail you're leaving behind supposed to look like

Why is there such an awful looking water splash near the boat

What is this
>>
>>341197664
I love Witcher 3, but the sailing is wicked boring anon.

So many moments of sheer terror, but when you line up a successful salvo against the destroyer who's been terrorizing you for the last half hour, it's a sense of purer satisfaction and relief than you'll get in any other game.

Two worlds is such a weird series.

The first one was complete shit, but somehow made enough money riding Oblivion's coattails that it warranted a sequel. They actually try to make a good game in 2 and are somewhat successful. The story and voice acting are hilariously bad though.

Sid Meier's Pirates is pretty fun.

>An example of special note is "Leave Her, Johnny, Leave Her" (also known as "Time for Us to Leave Her"), which was generally sung during the last round of pumping the ship dry once it was tied up in port, prior to the crew leaving the ship at the end of the voyage.[140]

If you read the lyrics, they basically say, "this ship and voyage suck, the food is rotten, and our officers are retarded," it was more or less an airing of grievances at the end of a long time at sea

The crew sang it when they were sailing through the locks at the very end of a voyage, because no one gave a fuck at that point and just wanted to go home

Same amount if not more, the game is overall a bit shorter than BF because it was more of a placeholder while the newest one came out

But the game almost entirely revolves around use of your boat, its split into 2 map sections
>North Atlantic
The frozen coastal waters of New York city, there are snowstorms on the water and its ultra-max ice boating, visibility is very poor and it has legendary sea battles (4 iirc)

>River Valley
Series of valley rivers surrounded by verdant evergreen wildlife, game is mostly in winter aside from a short escapade to another country

Still has Harpooning but they dumped the diving bell content
>>
>>341216825

It has two sections: The frozen North Atlantic (awesome) and the River Valley (too small and narrow, sailing is not fun here).
Overall I had a lot of fun with Rogue. The North Atlantic is maximum comfy and you can explore frozen shipwrecks. The River Valley is mostly forests and caves.
There's also one big town (New York) but you don't have to spend much time there.
>>
>>341216825
Pretty sure the Atlantic isn't close to New York - there are some canadian towns on this map. Also you forgot to mention New York city. It's not sailable , but still a part of the game
