Beyond Two Souls had a deleted scene where Ellen Page got raped on a pool table and the player had a choice to not save her. The game has audio files left over of her asking Aiden why he didn't do anything to save her.

The trailer was really well done and if the game actually lived up to it it would be fantastic, but of course it won't. I've been playing video games long enough and seen enough bogus trailers to know how this is going to pan out. It's just gonna be some shit heavy rain tier interactive movie where your choices don't matter. And the investigation sections are just gonna consist of walking around slowly clicking on arbitrary glowing items.
It's a real shame too because an android hostage negotiator game sounds like a really fucking cool idea.

As a Nintendo fan this game actually kind of impressed me, at least in the way they played out the trailer.
To explain, when he first went out and talked to the android I actually said out loud to myself "Jesus this guy is a fucking awful negotiator".
Then they revealed it was the worst possible outcome you could get because you were a lazy faggot. Made me smile a little. Laying out all the ways the scenario could play out afterwards was the icing on the cake.

I suppose that's because I would prefer the game to be small scale with a LOT of variance and replay-ability. Beyond: Two Souls was trash, but it also ran on for far too god damn long.
The Dark Sorcerer was nice, so maybe Cage can do some good if he doesn't bite off more than he can chew? Just make an adventure game based around one small case and it could be worthwhile.

Unfortunately the trailer for this makes it look 100x better than it'll be. It there were competent writers behind it, and the game was full of very open ended scenarios like this, with so many different possible outcomes, and it never made you switch protagonists throughout the game, with some kind of overarching plot, it would be fucking great.
But it's Quantic Dream, so we know it'll be garbage. The rest of the scenarios will be crap. The overarching plot will be retarded. And we'll most likely be forced into several character roles because David Cage is a retard who doesn't see how that makes no fucking sense from a player perspective.
