Teleporting is limited, it just looks overpowered on the footage because the developer enabled a cheat. You won't be able to directly teleport in front of a player or even in their field of vision.
and while Jason didn't technically teleport in the movies, there's no denying he'd appear quickly in a fairly unusual manner.

It is the only way to authentically have Jason just appear at a location super naturally quickly. You can't just have him be able to run super naturally fast to another location, only then to have him walk menacingly slow. That's even more retarded than the teleported.

this. Imagine a singleplayer game that plays more or less like hitman. You have to use all the means to separate the fuckers and make them panic so they do dumb things and you can chop them up. Wouldve been much better than this piece of shit

I've always hold that he could, it would explain more than a few instances in the films. Outright giving him the power actually makes tons of sense or at least game mechanics wise makes it feel more like Jason.
