There's a good point to the re-release that I haven't seen anyone mention in any of these threads: stability. Skyrim will crash on you so often you would think it was a twin towers simulator, however FO4 doesn't. I have over 200 mods installed, never crashes. If this is using the same shit as FO4 then it would actually become playable.
However it's Skyrim. They should have just done Oblivion, modding that is no fun.

It'd involve diving into the code and fixing/updating the code to Fallout 4 standards [which, if something can be said of it, is by far the most technically competent game Bethesda has produced in recent years]. If there's any actual game content or mechanical improvements added to it they'd have announced it already.

I don't know about Fallout 4 but for Skyrim I have 3 fairly kickass mods that should work on consoles. None of them load the CPU or GPU (my PC is a toaster so can't handle graphics mods). They're the Sofia companion mod, Ishs souls to perks, and Winter is Coming. I fail to see how mods are "doomed" on consoles.

If that's the mod I'm thinking of, it's a godsend if there ever was one. I remember back when I would desperately look for a simple mod that allowed you to convert souls into points in an easy, in-game manner that didn't involve console commands or blatantly immersion-ruining inventory items or Mod Manager menus.
Just adding a simple stone shrine to the world map that could do it for you was perfect.

There are certainly mods that will work on consoles, but probably nothing that makes any gameplay changes, since most of those mods require SKSE. Since vanilla gameplay has several problems fixed by mods, that's a significant issue. Yeah and the only of those three mods that has ever caused problems is Sofia. She occasionally has dialog and action glitches. Thankfully the only problem I ever had with her was that she wouldn't learn spells properly. One of the things I liked is that she will follow you ANYWHERE. I found that out when I teleported into Azuras Star and she proceeded to kick Daedra ass in there. She then also got to see Sovengarde and helped in the fight against Alduin.
