4K is still a meme as far as I'm concerned so will this monitor be good for the 1080?

going over 24" is a bad choice if you're getting a 1080p monitor

I hate how /v/ is always
things I dont like = meme.
Get 1440p

stay triggered cuckboi
if you're going for 27+" then get 1440p

It is 1440p. I meant for the Gtx 1080 sorry
first of all

second, it is not a meme. 4K is now getting supported by many PC games and now consoles with the new PS4 and Xbox One.

Nice memepost faggot.
Fuck it's not 1440p! My bad guys. I'll go with 1440p

A 27 inch 1080p monitor is a waste. Get a monitor in 1440p that can make use of the extra real estate.
I mean i guess you can downsample, but seriously, how often are you going to get a new monitor as opposed to a fresh graphics card?

How is 4k a meme?
Its going to be the new standard for resolutions once cheaper hardware is capable of running it reliably.
OP, that's an excellent choice, but keep in mind what a few posters mentioned already, that 27" is a bit large. Make sure you have plenty of room away from your monitor, because a lot of people end up with motion sickness from sitting too close to such a large screen.
Additionally, with a 27" monitor it's easier to see aliasing as well. To be honest I think you'd be much better off with a 24" monitor (or a similar size increment) but I don't know how you have your chair set up, maybe you game on your couch in which case 27" 1080p would be perfectly fine.

>The Acer XB270H G-SYNC 144Hz gaming monitor features a 27 inch TN-LED display with a 16:9 1920x1080 resolution
Honestly I would get a 970 or 980 for 1080p or 1440p

> once cheaper hardware is capable of running it reliably
hence why it's a meme right now
