Just continue playing casually,jump inbetween other games for a change of pace,have regular breaks and aim to beat it with continues at first.Also try comparing to games likeDark Souls, game a about growing,overcoming obsticles and getting better.Nobody was born good playing those games,but its something this series does that makes you want to get good and at least finish them.That was the case for me at least.

If you're literally just there for the porn then you're just a fan for the porn. But a good deal of Touhou is the stuff the community produces, it's not a big secret. Not all of it is porn either. Or rather, most of it isn't.
Like, when I first got into Touhou it wasn't because I decided to try the games. I saw a bunch of people get all passionate excited over something. Lots of them, constantly churning out fan works because they loved it so much. So I decided to just throw myself in. Looked at some of the fan art, read a few doujins. Had to use a wiki to learn who is who and why things happen. It's probably a weird way going about it but I'm a big Touhou fan now.
I tried some of the games myself but honestly I could go without them. I'm not really into danmaku games, ain't my thing. I guess I'm more of a fan of the Touhou community rather than the Touhou games.

If you actually look at the games as they are, Sakuya bears almost no particular privilege. After EoSD, as a human she was put into the next game. Then, she was in another game but along with another new "human" (Youmu, IN).
Next, we have PoFV where "everyone" is playable. After that? Nothing. I came to Touhou very recently, so I guess I can't understand the perspective of older fans, but looking at the series from simply the games, Sakuya wasn't a "third heroine" or something. The heroines are Reimu and Marisa, always, and it shows.
Sakuya is not important or special, is what I'm getting at. She's only in 1 game more than Youmu and Sanae and it feels like that one extra (PCB) was just a simple matter of "well, here's a third shot type".
