You can argue that they're both meant to be sexy in different ways. Widowmaker is a classic cold femme fatale, while Tracer is energetic, upbeat, and flirty.
This is why Tracer's old pose didn't really work. It looked too much like a pose for Widowmaker: a simple butt-shot.
The new pose is more energetic while being just as sexy or even moreso. Also, since the new pose is a rip-off of a classic 50's glamour shot, it helps cement Tracer's status as a woman out of time.
