Getting 9999hp on a character is pretty much impossible outside of screwing with bonus stats to 99, even with multiple lv 99 class changes with a dwarf with max natural vit I can only get to around 7.5k
Also agi doesn't affect avoid at all but your hit maxes out at 99 pretty much regardless of class or race
Also non-caster classes have their mp capped at 500 while casters are at 999
Why can't soldiers in slot 4,5,6 attack? Once in a while all 6 can attack during the first turn, but never again for the rest of the battle.

Am I doing something wrong? I tried to kill some 2 star boss in the lava temple but it literally kills me in like 5 turns, can't go to water temple because not enough attack to kill the silver fly and the undead city was pretty easy so far and didn't have any problems.

Protip, the A and C images will get cut off at the top of menus and extend past their graphic borders respectively if you don't make them right, which they've done nothing to show you.

I find Samurai to be ok, particularly useful for clearing groups out once they get their slash ability, and have access to some weapons that crit (aka instant kill) but I find mine to be rather squishy, so I'd use them with a Knight to keep them from getting damaged.
One of the downers of a melee class is they're only as good as the weapons you get them, if your weapons suck your damage output is going to suck regardless of what you do.

In the case of my portraits, it's because I made them larger than the standard portraits. The characters also rise up when you input commands, typically you just see their head otherwise. The rest of the UI I can't speak for, however.
