Old man here. I don't have much time for video games and largely abandoned multiplayer games around 2010. It fucking took me around 7-8 weeks to beat Witcher 3 due to my lack of free time.
Is Overwatch the best and most in-depth multiplayer game? No, I'd much prefer if a lot of old HL1 could somehow come back to life. But, it is quick to jump in, play a game, leave to do something else, then jump back in. Plus, I do admit their advertising was pretty good. I couldn't go anywhere without hearing about it and gave in and tried the beta and liked it a lot.

So what are the biggest commercial (not quality) failures so far in 2016?
Battleborn definitely (cost more than Borderland 1+2 to make and sold around 500k copies on all platforms and the playerbase is dead already). Maybe Mirror's Edge Catalyst but I have no idea how much it cost to make.

I have never been able to look at drawn or 3D figures and find them sexy or appealing. They're just fucking fake images anyone can draw with some artistic ability. It sold but it won't last without more content though it's very much a barebones FPS made from the recycled remains of Project Titan. Meanwhile other devs are trying to make more FPS Moba's without looking at Super Monday Night Combat history. Overwatch falls into the Hearthstone or Hots category where it's e exclusively populated by casuals and Blizzdrones. Anybody with a lick of taste or understanding of good game design will avoid these games like the plague. If overwatch was made by any other company it would have failed miserably.
