A musou game is perfect for Berserk. It's the perfect outlet for guts to RIP & TEAR a fuckton of demons as it's supposed to be. Dark Souls combat would be a much more retarded choice because it's way too slow for Guts and the fucking guy hardly exhibits exhaustion in the manga so a stamina meter simply wouldn't fit.

You're right mostly, but the problem with musou is that they're really fucking lazy with AI and environment/level design. Plus ontop of that, Guts has more to his arsenal than just mashing square to spam a sword. It wouldn't do him justice to be in a simple action game.

The problem is that Musou combat has almost no weight behind it. Yes, you can chop up a ton of pillocks like Guts does, and that's fine for what it is, but I think Berserk combat ought to have some impact for each strike.
I'd say Monster Hunter would be a closer representation, if anything, even if it's much slower than Beserk combat probably should be. Maybe something like the Warrior in Dragon's Dogma, but sped up some more.
