played both OoT and Majora's Mask as a little kid. Games were ugly, boring and poorly designed from what I can remember. I remember oracle of the seasons being pleasant though.
They're fine but you have to use a guide. Fuck wandering around for hours trying to find where to go next. That shit is only fun when you're a kid and still have your no-fucks-given mindset and just want to kill some things.

Link's Awakening is very easy and straight-forward to navigate, you always have the owl telling you where to go (even marking it on your map) and the phone booths to ask Grandpa Ulrira for more specific directions in case you were still lost. The place in your OP pic literally just requires you to go in straight lines from one sign to the next.
