It's amazing to me how common Overwatch console players are. Really shows how far into the mainstream Blizzard's marketing push managed to go. Overwatch runs and looks fine even on modern low-end machines, so I don't know why anyone would get it on a console unless they simply don't feel like figuring out how to use a PC (i.e. dumb).
Though I guess out of all the shooters, Overwatch is the most console-friendly one. Giant hitboxes, autoaim, easy-mode character abilities, low-tick servers. It's extremely casual, despite wearing the 6v6 ~pro comp~ mask. Perfect for the average console player, I guess.

I prefer to keep my shooters to the pc desk and use the couch setup for other genres. I don't see the point in trying to force a shooter into the sub-optimal couch play. unless it's single-player, of course, then who cares what control method you use

For sure, there's definitely some FPS games that I would never ever think of playing on the consoles, CS, Red Orchestra (if it ever came to consoles, which it wont) L4D ect.. but buying multiplat shooters on the consoles CAN make sense for people for a number of reasons.. friends, being able to resell, couch play(just preference)
