So... Has there been a single good Denuvo game yet? One that would be a commercial success perhaps?

I feel like every single one of these games is either shit, or immediately forgotten.
>>
>>340642468
unfortunately denuvo games are selling well even if the games are shit, so they'll keep using it
>>
>>340642468
warhammer TW and do you sex 2
the other is forgettable
>>
>>340643920
>do you sex 2
What?

>>340643748
Are they really? What denuvo games are selling so well? Even for AAA games they don't really seem to be making huge numbers.
>>
>>340643920
Desu ex haven't come out yet. For all we know it might be shit.
>>
So when will it finally be cracked? Is anyone even working on it?
>>
NuDoom

>>
>>340642468
D44M's done OK and Total Warhammer has been a success.
Everything else kinda deflated silently. Probably Dragon Age 3 did well but we have no data.
>>
>>340647676
No, tell me what is it
>>
Hitman (though the episodic shit would stop it from being a success now anyway)
Warhammer Total War

I hear DOOM and Rise of the Tomb Raider are good too.

Mad Max
>>
>>340648357
>shit arkham
No.
>>
>>340648493
Huh?
>>
>>340648258
I know what it is but I want you to say it.
>>
>>340645121
It can't be cracked using any established techniques, and all of the legitimate programmers left the scene years ago. All that's left are script kiddies and none of their scripts work.
>>
>>340642468
Just Cause 3 and Doom have Denuvo don't they? I won't lie, I actually am pretty disappointed that I can't try either of them.
>>
>>340648596
shit arkham
>>
>>340648938
How? I've never played the arkham games (batman is gay)
>>
>>340648357
Mad Max was one of the early crackable ones though.

>>340648596
He's saying Mad Max is another WB Game that takes the Arkham formula and slaps it on another property. Kinda like Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor.

>>340642468
You see, that is Denuvo's true anti-piracy protection: No one wants to pirate it.
>>
>It only costs 100k euros for a AAA publisher to get denuvo in its game

Forget it, they will use it anyway just as a fuck you to pirates
>>
>>340649403
15000 something copies of an 60yurops game
anything more and it's a profit
but i haven't seen a torrent with that many seeds/ leachers
>>
>>340642468
The nearest Tomb Raider, Just Cause 3, DOOM, Hitman all good, haven't played the others
>>
>>340649859
more like 1700 copies
>>
>>340642468
Was Just Cause 3 any good?
>>
>>340650217
yes, then it's a win for the developer in every situation
>>
>>340642468
Doom4
Just Cause 3

Denuvo is not inherently some evil thing, they are just paid by other companies to add it. They monitor pirate forums and do research and shit, too.

And yet they only charge like .15 cents to the dollar on game revenue
>>
>>340645121
The issue is that they can no longer be public about cracking progress and methods because part of Denuvo's services include staying up to date on the pirate scene and pirate forums

https://www.reddit.com/r/CrackStatus/comments/4mtb46/conversation_with_a_denuvo_employee/
>>
>>340651139
So even if they crack it, it'll become uncrackable again.

There's just no winning this one.
>>
>>340643920
>do you sex 2

Are there really people who think that Human Revolution is Deus Ex 1 and Mankind Divided is Deus Ex 2?
>>
>>340651436
Yep, newfags here think that and they have the audacity to tell me to leave.
>>
>>340651273
tbf there is no scene to try and crack it either, mostly just bored russians and chinese miners that keep giving it a shot, meanwhile the scene has been reduced to releasing indie shit for the sake of keeping their name afloat

Also I think the downfall of the scene was when those chinese fucks made a website using the skidrow/reloaded name and every moron assumed it was the actual skidrow/reloaded
>>
>>340651273
denuvo also seems to have a quanitifiable impact on Month 1 sales

here they claim it's as high as 15% higher first month sales on denuvo games

and there are a substantial number of denuvo games that still aren't cracked. and contrary to popular belief, not all of those are Lords of The Fallen tier "nobody cared to try" games
>>
>>340649403
Was there any actual proof about that?
>>
>>340651651
>here they claim it's as high as 15% higher first month sales on denuvo games
I don't believe it. So far I've noticed that it has either no impact at all or the sales are lower because those games aren't even bought or hyped by anyone.
>>
>>340651651
>not all of those are Lords of The Fallen tier "nobody cared to try" games

just cause 3 and maybe NFS? (tbf though I dont think there has ever been a NFS game that flew so hard under the radar)
>>
Even mgsv and arkham knight sold like shit
>>
>>340642468
DOOM, MGSV

>>
>>340645121
Never. No Denuvo game has ever been cracked. There was a bypass for an early version of it, which was used in Lords of the Fallen. However, Denuvo has been updated to fix that since FIFA I believe.
>>
>>340651998
NFS came out on the consoles, turned out shit, and then all of the sudden it came out again, this time on PC. Funny thing is I had no fucking idea it didn't come out on PC the first time.
>>
>>340649859
Because all 60 euros go straight to the dev/publisher and there's no such thing as distribution, license fees, taxes and shit, right?
>>
Pirate fags can only blame themselves. Devs can also look in the mirror since nobody makes demos anymore.
In the future you won't be pirating any bigger releases.
>>
>>340652360
If they figure out a way to remove it (like they removed Arxan from GTA5) will that count as cracked?

And dont these games have an actual DRM besides denuvo, meaning the ones that got ''cracked'' actually DO have a crack?
>>340652437
Well I had no idea it came out earlier on consoles until right now, and this is what I mean, that shit felt like a stealth release
>>340652562
Older PS4 firmware already runs linux so at least there will be that in the future
>>
>>340651920
Well this is the data coming straight from them to a potential customer, and call me naive if you like but from the tone of their emails, they genuinely don't sound as evil as the companies who fund them. They're just normal guys who provide one very specific service and have so far gotten very good results. People thought Denuvo were out to fuck over pirates like they hated them or something, or to 'kill' piracy, when really they just make a good firewall that actual evil groups like EA are pouring money into
>>
>>340652526
dont you pay those before you launch the game? ok add 1000 more copies sold, gee whata number
>>
>>340652876
>pour money into it desperately hoping to increase sales
>dont increase sales because it turns out people just dont want your shitty games
>go bankrupt

Denuvo really will save gaming wont it lads?

I bought mgstpp not knowing it was denuvo, you cannot play offline and the game runs like crap considering how dated it looks. Worst still there is no mention of denuvo malware or forced online on the storepage.

The first new game I've bought/played since Dishonored (ez 8/10). My first and last denuvo game, wp konami.
>>
>>340651581

pls Jesus grant me sweet cyanide
>>
>>340653082
Yeah that 100k is really going to bankrupt a AAA company.
>>
>>340653328
that guy said ''pouring money into'' so I assume he meant they finance them on the side
>>
>>340642468

MGSV
>>
Rise of the Tomb Raider is good.
Doom 4 is considered good
>>
>>340653521
>RoTR is good
>>
>>340642468
From the uncracked ones, it's a mixed bag.

Worth the time and the money:
DOOM
TW: Warhammer

Worth the time, but not the money (i.e. wait for deep sale or eventual crack):
Hitman
Just Cause 3
RotTR
Mirror's Edge

Worth neither - you're better off taking a nap, which is free:
Far Cry Primal
Homefront: The Revolution
Unravel
Need for Speed
Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter
ADR1FT
>>
>>340651139
why don't they discuss that on a private IRC instead of blabbing their progress on public forums?
>>
>>340653971
>Need for Speed

This game truly is garbage. It's like someone literally told a dev team to make a game that looks as good as possible when you watch someone else play, and nevermind if it's actually playable.

TL;DR 500ms steering lag
>>
>>340653328
EA and Sony are the ones who initially funded and invested in Denuvo as a company.
>>
>>340654405
Yet they are nowhere near bankruptcy.
>>
>>340654298
NFS is possibly the simplest formula in the world and yet they still find a way to fuck it up

stop making these fucking threads.
I mean, I get it, this is pretty good bait, considering the amount of retards that fall for it, but please man. For the good of all.
>>
>>340655641
Sony wasn't exactly flourishing, it's always been pretty close to the red zone. The only company of the "Big 3" who consistently reported the highest income each year was Nintendo, until the Wii U almost destroyed them (they lost a significant chunk of their warchest). But that year was the first really bad year in practically decades for Ninty, while Sony and MS game divisions have consistently ended their fiscal year bleeding money or just breaking even.

in fact Sony had to close down several of their electronics divisions because of poor sales
>>
>>340648212
Hitman is decent, Doom is pretty good, but Fall of the """""Tomb Raider""""" is absolute goat shit.
