Although it isn't full Polaris 10, 67C0:C10 is the full die, 2560 shaders, spotted at a faster clock too (1350mhz). Should be pretty close to the 1070.

Cpu and gpu are tied together though. The way apis except vulkin and metal work is they need the cpu to compile code into machine langue the card can read. So the more intensive settings on your game demands more processes you'll have to complete on the cpu

Nvidia literally sends their own engineers to dev companies to work on games and implement ultra settings that cut fps in half. Inefficient games sell GPUs.
You can play these games on integrated GPUs on low-medium settings and almost maxed out on $200-$300 GPUs, but if you turn on the last few settings you suddenly need a $800 GPU. It's ridiculous. You need to do side by side screenshot comparisons to even notice the differences.
