Civilian factories are used to build military factories and structures, spam them early game.
Build as many planes as you can, you will need them. Also having air superiority in a region is great.
Battle plans are useful, but the AI is dumb so it's best to micro divisions if you want to win quick.

I remember when I first started playing Hearts of Iron games I spent a whole year bull shitting around, not looking up guides, or just looking at small tips left for me on steam. Finally I just looked at a guide series on YouTube. There is literally no other way to learn this shit than to look up a detailed guide. It just gets so in depth.

HoI4 is basic as fuck. I learned it in 2 hours with no prior HoI experience.
Play a little nation first so you can learn how the game works. It's a paradox game and it just came out so balance is borked and the German AI is buttfuck retarded which doesn't help the matter that the allies build eighty billion planes and annihilate every other air force.

take back the reichland as your first focus
day 1 before unpausing support fachist party in the USA, come 1940 and their election fachist will win and they'll probably join your faction which means you turned the end game boss into your butt buddy
get the silent workhorses for more political power as your first purchases, switch to war economy, dont bother swapping manpower law until your ready to start WW2, should be your last decision because germany gets retarded amounts of PP
send 2 panzer division to aid nationalist spain, win the war asap, send 1 panzer to madrid and the other to barcelona, having both under your control ends the war in 1 day. before japan fucks all the world tension up like the retards they are, dont ally those gooks they're fucking useless.
if world tension is around 20% your good to go, justify a claim on the netherlands for one of their colonys, your going to full annex them regardless, take amsterdam and they capitulate, you've just gained mega rubber production and a nice bit of oil, garrison your new colonies with like 20 infantry, now just build up for your war machine, dont attack france without first going through brussles, at which point just split up your panzer squad to occupy paris and Bern? the victory point in the NW of france, they should capitulate easy
rape everything in your path, you can ignore england if you want, deploying 2000 navel bombers in the english channels makes short work of their fleet, after you control europe you can go beat the shit out of scandinavia or russia
