Could possibly happen, Bowser and Donkey Kong were nintendo-console exclusive to the last skylanders game, citing a possible precedent.
Although it seems very unlikely to see Crash Bandicoot at all without Activision making his game multiplatform or making Crash part of some bigger scheme/ game like they did with Spyro and Skylanders.

I played Skylanders once while visiting family and it's pretty fun which just makes me more mad about the rampant price gouging. If it came out 12+ years ago with all those characters being unlockable instead of behind a paywall I would've fucking loved it.
