The difficulty feels out of whack, and doesn't feel like a steady increase with one spike like the other games do. Like Kagerou is stupidly hard on Lunatic, and then Stage 4 Lunatic isn't really all that bad.
And the 2 busted shottypes in DDC are ridiculous, the only thing that compares is a shot that's only op because of a bug in MoF.
And then you also have shots like Marisa B, who is arguably one of the worst shots outside of the really awful ones like solo IN shots. Like, I get that she has really good damage pointblank, but that doesn't make up for her awful range and her awful damage up close. Reimu C was also great as shotgunning and could do massive damage, but at least she also has range at a distance.

Honestly, I find it too dangerous outside of specific situations, it's not all that handy and effective streaming makes it mostly pointless. Anyway, I guess it would have been more accurate to say that Reimu A only seems fantastic because the other shots are kind of crappy, but Reimu A doesn't really break SA, it's just your best option if you want to beat it.

The difference between Reimu A and Sakuya A is actually pretty obvious.
Reimu A is good in her game because she's a decent shottype when there are no decent shottypes, she doesn't actually break the game with damage or abilities, and her bomb is only really busted for scoring, otherwise it's only ok.
Sakuya A's bomb makes the game way easier because it can be abused for collecting resources, and by abusing it you can give yourself a much larger advantage than you may have been intended to have. Sakuya A is busted because she breaks the game by having such a good bomb, and makes the game way easier than it should be. Not on the level of Marisa B in the same game, mind you, but it's the same idea. And on top of her bomb, she still has a very powerful shot with good range.

But I do see where you're coming from. Devil of Decline has an English patch in progress but it's going to be missing content from its latest expansion pack because it adds DRM to the game and the people translating it have no idea how to crack it. So it'd be nice if one of the localization companies translating Touhou fangames picked it up and brought it over. But then they'd most likely do it for PS4 only and not PC which sucks because I don't have a PS4 and I have no intention of getting one.
