i had one dedicated building just for one comedian, and had him churn out absolute crap comedies for decades, huge quantity of movies, nothing but comedies
the critics hated it, he comedian was a total wreck and i didn't take care of him at all, he got old and i replaced him in the end, and repeated the process with some other guy.
he never got to be in the big projects, i didn't let him socialize with any of the other stars, only the extras in his crap movies.

My biggest and best was Best in the West 2. A slapstick western staring Indiana Jonesey and his trusty steed, Princess Sophia. The antagonist was a black Nazi and his sidekick ape who kidnapped the love interest.

It was a Sci-fi horror movie. It was set in an abandoned space ship. Throughout the movie cast members were killed off by some mysterious enemy who you never saw.

Looks like the Nigger Trilogy went to shit after the first one. While the original Space Niggers had a deep overarching plot, loveable protagonist and antagonists and an unexpected twitst, Earth Niggers tried to roll with the first one's success and went for over complicated 2deep4you surrealism. At this point the whole series seems ruined so a quick cash grab action movie Clash of the Niggas, which completely abandoned the original movie's overall mood and themes, was released. You can see the pandering to young action loving audiences just by looking at the name change from Niggers to Niggas. My favorite sets were the suburb (pic related), the school corridor (had some great unique scenes), the beach, and all the space ships because they worked together perfectly.
pro tip: just label the film with whatever genre is hot right now, you can write a sci-fi flick with aliens and battles and still register it as Comedy. Critics & audiences won't notice lol.

The stunt expansion pack has great new sets, costumes, scenes, weather effects...
But it fucks up the editing a little for some reason. You can't fade in/out in between scenes anymore.
It depends on what kind of movies you want to make. If you're into special effect heavy stuff, it's worth apurchase (I found it on ebay two years ago).

Just so you guys know, there's a registry edit you can do to get it to play nice in widescreen. All you need to do is change the resolution values, other than a few slightly stretched UI elements (only some of them, weirdly) it plays nice with 16:9.

Fuck yeah. My friends and me used to create blood stains by makine red spheres, squishing them and lowering them into the floor so it would look like a puddle due to the clipping. I was kinda disappointed by The Movies because you only could use the premade scenes and not animate actors and objects manually like in 3D movie maker. The Movies with 3DMM's animation freedoms would have been great.

I remember getting this game as a child and when i was messing around with it i got a auto generated movie where a two guys where kissing. I thought that was really funny so i showed it to my dad and i remember him looking at me disappointed and saying that he hoped i would be more creative than that. I ended up making tons of movies with really shitty voice acting. It is such a shame that the site where all the movies were stored went down. I would love to get my hands on those old movies.

I ran it on a shitty toshiba business laptop back in 2005 when it was released.
Only had a stock intel GPU and it ran alright on low-medium settings, was kinda jerky though.
But the hardware on any laptop nowadays is more than enough to comfortably run it on near-max display settings
So I actually have the game (indeed paid for it), but the single player mode .. you just churn out new scripts and start filming them. Every now and then you build a new studio. It never managed to hold my attention for too long. Do you guys only play in sandbox mode?
Is there any way to make the early game not suck?

there's this file you can edit in the app data folder, it can start you in the year 2000 with all techs and costumes unlocked
Just type "movies cheats" in google if you're unsure, sites will usually explain how to edit unlocking
Plus, there was a premade file with all edits, damn shame i'm on my phone now to give you the link to it
