Valenwood is lore-wise a pretty crazy place, you've got bosmer living in tree cities that walk around, the Wild Hunt they can do which transforms them into wild beasts irreversibly, the Green Pact which dictates that bosmer can't chop down wood and instead use naturally fallen wood along with having to eat anything they kill (including other people) within 3 days. Shit like that which would no doubt not make it into the game, or be botched completely.

Don't you get me started on how disappointed we were back in 2011. I remember thread after thread, before the game was out, where people planned on playing the game with no HUD elements, actually writing in a journal a la Morrowind in order to take in as much of the lore as possible. Imagine our disappoint. If you want more proof that Skyrim is garbage (even with mods):

They changed it to a more traditional forest for Oblivion because they thought it would be more palatable to people, that's all. There are mods that change both Oblivion's and Skyrim's environments to jungles.

I liked the settlements feature. But it was definitely shallow. But for survival mode I had to rely on them a lot. One settlement zone would have been better. Include ways to establish trade with others, making that one settlement very important, that sort of thing.

Mods have jungles in it, i played one that would take you to valenwood in skyrim, and to morrowind. Amazingly beautiful environments for the engine.

Bethesda is not going to go to the extra effort to the lore justice. Having favorited weapons appear on you should have been in 10 years ago in my opinion.

Skill checks a la NV thrown in more often, more interaction between companions and quest npc's (as in they alter events somehow or add new dialogue and not just comment on what's happening), more dynamic interactions between the 3 main factions in the dlc.

Okay understand the following, the moving forest was one city called Falinesti...it's also a metaphysical tower.
It stopped before Oblivion crisis and rooted itself, there are no moving tree cities anymore.

Remember, it's not voluntary, it's part of the Greenpact. People don't like Cannibalism but all the meat has to be eaten. Some might use dogs or something like that to remove meat of the fallen brothers, some more traditional ones will eat it.

What lore event would be best as a game? Well something like interegnum would be more interesting without going to high powerlevel but ESO fucked that up already...so I guess Reman era because of Mananauts and stranger sci-fi shit going on.
What would be best region? Well personally I think that right not Hammerfell is the best option, it is civilized enough not to be too hard to handle (no cities, region too hostile etc.) at the same time it has a completely alien Yoku culture tied to it which is very different from anything we've seen before in TES, plus it is a different perspective on current Men Vs. Mer shit because they are in a strange way not entirely Men but they oppose Dominion. Also I am a sucker for Yoku deities.

Wild Hunt is a ritual by which Bosmer unbind themselves fro Y'ffre and turn back into their original Adic forms, which is super unstable and shifts from one creature of infinite forms to another, imagine like a giant glob/mishmash of mouths and hands running at sonic speeds consuming and eating everything.
Leftovers of Wild Hunt, after they stabilize again are usually strange creatures, often times they are ancestors of monsters.

Ehlnofey bind themselves to Mudnus and turn themselves into earthbones, creating rules of existence so to say. It is unclear if Mortal races are descendants of Aedra and Ehlnofey together, just Ehlnofey etc.

What matters is that as world slowly stabilizes and as time becomes linear mortality is slowly becoming a thing.

Ada slowly stabilize through different ways, space and time become stable and world becomes the thing we know today. Men races are somehow tied to Wondering Ehlnofey who in turn are tied to the core principles of Lorkhan.

Also, Arena isn't named after a province and Daggerfall is just one city in a huge map. Redguard is a race of people and the Battlespire is a building.
Morrowind takes place solely in Vvanderfell and Skyrim is the only game where the name actually makes sense.
