I want nights and caves that are PITCH black without a lantern. Complete with some spooky ambiance.
>>
I want the prologue and tutorial to be fast, yet natural.

None of this shit like in the last few games where you had to play for hours to get started
>>
I want the story to be as generic as possible.
>>
>>340478806

I feel ya, give that little fucker a sword and toss him into the overworld
>>
>>340478715
I want the Gerudos back
>>
>>340478806

The long openings have never bothered me
>>
>>340478715
But that would be too spooky for children, anon.
>>
>>340478715
Go play Dragon's Dogma then.

I want a huge open world like Xenoblade but with non-shitty combat. I want more emphasis put on dungeon design and puzzles than bland stories or shitty gimmicks.
>>
>>340480357
They suck.
It's so much to wade through before you get to any gameplay.
>>
>>340480567

I already have anon......it's why I want it in every action adventure game.
>>
I want traditional Legend of Zelda. Focus on exploration, dangerous dungeons, secrets to find, some degree of freedom.

What I expect: Puzzles, dumb NPCs and constant cutscenes, more puzzles, everything revolving around the game's big gimmick, exposition fairy, and even more puzzles.

The only good things I expect from this game is the porn and soundtrack.
>>
>>340481708
Puzzles were always an important part of Zelda.

The only reason the new games suck is because they lack freedom and exploration. Pretty much like the new Final Fantasy games, which have also been cancer for years.
>>
>>340478715
I want it to be good.
>>
For it to actually be released.
>>
>>340481894
Puzzles weren't an important part until OoT, though I'll grant you Link's Awakening since the GB was such an underpowered piece of hardware all it could make decently were puzzle games, so everything that wasn't one of those sucked.
>>
>>340478806
Nope, a good hour plus of setting the stage for the game is good. Not boring, but not s dungeon either.
>>
I want dungeons that are actually challenging and break the routine of enter dungeon-get item-get big key-kill boss with item
and make all items useful in combat like Wind Waker
have a partner like Enzo or Tatl: doesn't get in the way, doesn't need a piss poor attempt at character development like Midna or worse, Fi
>>
>>340478806
This. TP's tutorial is like 2 hours or so, SS tutorial is like 2 hours

I feel Nintendo always does this. Its been a franchise for decades but they keep doing the same tutorials.

>more optional dungeons
>more side quests in general
>unconventional dungeons like the mansion in TP
>stamina and weapon upgrades similar to SS

Fuck it, just make it a full fledged Action RPG. Time to stop beating around the bush and just do it. We all know its headed there anyway.

Stopped reading there.

>>
>>340483472
absolutely not
>>340484435
zelda only

and she has to be conservatively dressed and vulnerable
>>
Massive, richly detailed, beautiful overworld to explore, full of secrets, stuff to see and to do.
Little story. Video game plots are always (always) anime tier shit, and Zelda games' plots are stupid even for video game standards. Gameplay is far above everything.
No fairy companion.
No more of that low health beep.
>>
>>340478806
I want the tutorial to be OPTIONAL
>>
>>340483894

I already have, you chucklefuck. I want to see it in more games.
>>
>>340483716
Too late. The only news we have so far is literally

>blue shirt
>Bullet time arrows
>HORSE DRIVES ITSELF
>"Look at all this grass"
>"We wanted to let you eat the apples"
>"COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR LEGEND OF ZELDA AMIIBOS"
>>
>>340484997
They took out the low health beep starting with Wind Waker. It doesn't exist in Zelda games anymore.
>>
>>340485210
Not of that sounds interesting or fun though
>>
>>340483252
they're obviously going to throw one in

I want the following:

• Swift opening
• Solid controls
• Innovative and addictingly fun combat
• A less in-your-face story, with more of it being optional and deeper for those who want it if they seek it out
• Literally a stupidly large overworld
• NEGATIVE SPACE. It's not going to feel like an adventure of every single square foot has to have some useless content. I understand you guys don't want it to be as empty as Wind Waker but I need some free space to ride around in
• Lots of towns / villages / cities
• NPCs that wander around the overworld
• Some combat based dungeouns instead of only puzzle-based
• Some shorter dungeouns
• A solid and meaningful economy
• A variety of modes of transportation
• A large variety of weapons, and at least one polearm
• Lots of interesting and unique characters
• Magic, and a completely reimagined system for it
• Hidden areas and secrets galore
• Areas that most players will miss
• To be genuinely impressed and surprised by things I didn't know that I wanted/were possible
>>
>>340485210
The bullet time arrows looked awful.
>>
>>340478715
I want it to be not on the Wii U and made for a system that is not complete dogshit using ancient hardware.
>>
>>340478715

Nintendo is really hitting the sake hard if they think we believe that the final product will look this nice
>>
>>340483124
>open world
>action
>role playing
Pls stfu.
Open world is a replacement for good level design.
Rpgs as the AAA industry knows it today are grinding without the world building(minus the witcher, to be fair.)
Personally, I'd be more than fine to have oot combat back, though.
>>
>>340486048
Maybe not on Wii U, but I bet the NX version will have some nice polish and shine on the visuals.
>>
>>340486096
>Open world is a replacement for good level design.
You know, you can just have a well-designed open world, which is what they are supposed to deliver. The Zelda series, since the very first game, was supposed to be an open world series. It's just that Nintendo hasn't pushed technology to the limits and has never made a proper open world game, but it seems this is going to change with Zelda U.
>>
>>340485859
So you want it to be on PC then.
>>
>>340483124
>RPG
Zelda has fuck all rpg elements
>>
>>340478715
I want non-linearity and optional items/areas.
>>
>>340485706
I feel so bad for how let down you're going to be.
>>
>>340484435

Waifus would be nice
>>
>>340482895
All you need is a good 15-20 minutes to set up who Link is in this game, familiarize the player with the home town and have the call to adventure. Heading off to meet the Great Deku Tree, the first three day cycle in Clock Town and getting off Outset Island were all perfectly effective, as was Hyrule Castle and getting your sword in LttP and LA if we compare the 2D games.

The bullshit in Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword where you need an hour and a half to explain even the most basic of mechanics, do errands and shove cinematics down your throat sucked. Most Zelda games are easy as hell and have mediocre stories anyway, spending so long on the exposition sequence at the start just locks away the engaging parts of the game behind a wall.
>>
A world that feels like it doesn't give a fuck about Link and his quest. Dungeons shouldn't feel like puzzles to solve. If you have to cross a gap with a hookshot, it should be because the original path has been destroyed with age, not because someone designed it that way.

I'd like to basically be given a big final objective and free reign to try to find out how to get there.
>>
>>340483716
sorry anon but it prints money
>>
>>340489146
This would be great, as long as it isn't too scripted and dumb when it tries to pull off that shit like in the new Tomb Raider games or Uncharted
>>
>>340478715
I really hope the open world isn't lifeless
>>
>>340489146
>If you have to cross a gap with a hookshot, it should be because the original path has been destroyed with age, not because someone designed it that way.
I think this is a big thing that the Zelda series just can't figure out for some reason.

It's probably why Snowpeak Ruins felt refreshing to a lot of people. It's literally just an old house with all the obstacles contextualized as ice and poor maintenance, and you progress through it by doing errands for the Yeti's wife. Even OoT had this with places like the Forest Temple being an abandoned haunted castle and the Fire Temple being a prison. Forsaken Fortress wasn't amazing but at least it felt like a proper hideout, with Link being required to turn off the search lights to progress and the traps actually making sense.

Having giant obvious bomb rocks blocking things off, throwing wooden targets on everything, and writing tutorials on stones in front of puzzles just makes the whole world feel terribly artificial. Aonuma's team could take some cues from the Metroid series on how to hide collectibles.
>>
>>340478715

I want the process of finding and getting to each dungeon to be just as much of a challenge as the dungeons themselves.
Exploring and interacting with the world, rather than Skyward Sword's dungeons outside dungeons.
>>
>>340478715
I want it to look exactly like your pic OP. But more importantly i just want it to be good.
