Keep in mind, it's not so much a game as it is more an interactive, choose your own story, movie. That being said, it looks phenomenal and you get weirdly attached to the characters. Don't pay more than $20-$30 and you don't be dissapointed

As someone who owns just about every English JRPG release, the best games are The Witcher 3 and MGSV.
Motion controls will ruin it for you. Two characters rely on "place your controller in stasis" or they die. If you so much as twitch they die. Redbox it though

The game itself is what is worth playing about it. The references happen very shortly. I'd recommend following the story until you are in your mid-teens before exploring. The variation of enemy levels is pretty great.
