The existing model was a free stock image photograph. It wasn't based on it, it's literally the same image with some shitty filters and edits lazily thrown onto it. This was for one of the main characters and arguably could have been one of her most important moments. In a universe that did a good job of making interesting aliens. it feels like it has a lot more cut corners. far fewer dialog options, wonky animations(the running is hilarious) and some really lazy texture work at times. some sequences are atrociously bad and yes the ending feels half-assed. ME1 has some jank to it, but you could still feel the effort they put into it in trying to figure out how things are still going to work. 3 just feels like they either ran out of time or stopped giving a shit at points.

Actually, don't play them. If you are anything like me, you will fall in love with the world and many of the characters, only to play a whole game that shits all over every thing you liked and smiles at you while it does.
I never played ME3 to be honest.
I broke with Bioware after DA2. The game was so fucking abysmal I never wanted to play any of their games again.
After all I have seen and read, that was the right decision.
Played ME3 a few months ago for the first time.
The ending is still an inexcusable fumble and coupled with how poorly they treated anyone who pointed out this staggeringly obvious fact I don't blame /v/ for refusing to forgive them, or forget it.
But fuck me if I don't actually find a lot of good stuff in ME3 that I enjoyed. It was even worse in a way that I could find so much worthwhile stuff in a game, like a 9/10 LONDON that also murdered your whole family and raped your dog.
