Might be the best place. I have an Xbox 360 and a hd tv. The tv didn't have the red, blue and green component slots on it so I purchased an Xbox 360 vga adapted (allowing me to go from the scart in the Xbox to the vga in the tv and then plug in the red and white components into the tv as usual for sound). Thing is a don't seem able to get a full screen though when playing the game there is like a 2" black border around the edge that I can't fit the "image" into, for example I was loading up cod.
Is it just cod as the dashboard is fine, pic related. I've gone through changing the image type via the tv remote.

Have you change the video settings on the Xbox itself? That aspect ratio doesn't look right. It's obviously being stretched.

Been years since I done a set up, should be there in the xbox settings, should also be a dedicated channel with those letters on your TV also. Either way it's colour-coded so you shouldn't have problems plugging the cables in.
VGA or component its the best youre gonna get out of it. the dongle is for getting digital audio out, not digital video
either dick around with your tv settings more or learn to live with it.
