It doesn't matter. A lot of people prefer to do Claire first and Leon second because you have better weaponry with Leon in a harder scenario but it's not a big deal. The game is easy as shit regardless.

Game's easier with Leon. He gets better weapons that can be upgraded. Learn which areas you'll be traveling through the most and clear them completely of enemies. If there are any easily avoidable enemies, ignore them to save ammo and shit
