Even though I played Tremere, and their disciplines are quite OP, I found that you can stomp everything with firearms in the later parts. Combat was straight out of early PS1 era, certain levels take away from already small pool of replayability (hotel, sewers, pretty much everything after sewers), too much action in a game that's bad at it, hilarious balance and PC progression. I've got the "boss blows himself up" ending, and when credits started to roll I've felt not sadness but relief that the suffering's forever behind and I won't have to endure another hour of Troika's half-assedness and outdated game design. Some say the got screwed over by publisher, but honestly? The game is worse than Arcanum and Temple of Elemental Bugbears, one can believe in big bad publishers for so long before it's clear that nobody but the developer is to blame. As a fan of WoD I wanted this game to be good, but it failed to deliver.

Tremere, the 'wizard' clan, is playing the game on easy mode. You can put groups of enemies to sleep to suck them dry one at a time right out of the gate. As you progress you get a blood shield, you can make people boil from the inside and explode, you can make them just straight up kill themselves or turn to your side and slaughter their friends. Love this game, just finished my second playthrough a few days ago. Parts where I struggled the first time felt a lot easier and overall nicer this time around.
The first time I played the game I was really disappointed. Throughout the entire game, pretty much every character you meet tells you they feel something strange and ominous in the air, that some real shit is about to go down soon. And then in the end... nothing. It was just a prank, bro.
Yes, I know, Gehenna happens in the RPG (ot at least it did, before it got retconned out, thankfully), but I really expected the game to deliver on all the foreshadowing it did from the beginning.
