Nobody "likes" the old designs for umineko, but regardless of the fact that they're shit, the faces are extremely expressive. The new art is incapable of expressing anything other than mild contentment and displeasure, so a lot of the nuance of the emotions in the scenes is lost.

The old designs have better faces and a lot more character, even if they do have vomit-inducing anatomy. The newer designs like like the most generic of copypased sakura shovelware art, which is not to say it's horrible, but it's incredibly boring to look at.
