That forced DRM from 2k14 made the game load slow as balls, then by the time I started season 2, they decided to shut down the servers. Offline season mode with created characters has been done before and it's easy as shit to put in the game, but muh online integration. Fuck it.

Center is literally the easiest if you know how to get position and grab rebounds for easy layups. Point Guard if you want to control the game every play, although this year has a cap on speed. Shooting Guard isn't really worth it or Small Forward since being fast can be the difference. Odd year releases tend to be the best for sports games.

It's an incredible and intimidating game to experience as a white nerd outsider who doesn't care for sports at all. The presentation is top-notch and the controls are incomprehensibly complex. It exists in its own vacuum. Like, there's 2K branding fucking everywhere, and even fake 2K branded shoes to wear alongside the extensive selection of authentic Adidas and Air Jordans.

2k is so fucking greedy you would be impressed how NBA 2k is still the king of basketball games

>bundle the attributes together, instead of having them separate and being able to upgrade only your 2 point shot, dribbling, passing speed, you have to upgrade many of them together because they have 6 group of "upgrades"
>for example, you have shooting bundle, which comes with 2 point shot, 3 point shot, shooting close, free throw shooting, so if you want to upgrade your 2 point shot, you will upgrade the rest of them as well
>this makes it that if you want to have a big man with good free throw rating, he will be good at 2 point shot and 3
>in top of that, your player starts at 55 OVR, and you have to upgrade your player this way, it cost a lot of VC to upgrade that bundle to +1/+2 to every stat, so you won't be making shots until you have a midrange attribute at 80, at it starts at 55, it usually levels up +2 every time you upgrade
