The Witcher 3 is the worst thing ever made by a human.
It's a failure, it's a disgrace, it's a tiny little package of everything that a videogame should not be.
It's objectively bad and I really hope whoever crafted this monstruosity feels ashamed of hirself.
Fantastic story, great graphics and music even after the downgrade, horrible quest design and mediocre combat.
Story's great, main quest's a bit of a drag at some points but side quests are all very well written.
The quest designs themselves are usually pretty ass, with 90 percent of quests being "Use Witcher Sense and find the red outline". This is especially apparent in the Witcher Contracts, where 99 percent of the time it's walking into the woods and finding fur or blood or some other shit. Combat isn't totally braindead like Bam Ham, but it's still a bit of a chore after the twenty hour mark. Expect to fight tons of low level Drowners and Nekkers and damage sponge enemies if you try to tackle a quest even one level higher than your current one.
Money has no real use, buying armor is worthless because the Witcher armors are always the best possible things to wear, each power has a different use outside of combat but for the most part using Igni accomplishes the same thing as Aard or Axii, giving you a free hit on a stumbling/on fire character.
No real build variety, always end up a spellsword. Always thought that these games would allow you to customize yourself a bit more.
Overall a 7/10 because the story and especially the DLCs are worth playing through, but holy fuck does the combat go from mediocre to terrible when you're totally sick of it. Pretty surprised how much praise it gets from people considering all the glaring flaws the game has.

Amazing world and writing wasted on some of the worst action RPG combat/leveling systems this side of Elder Scrolls games. Imagine this game with Dragon's Dogma or Souls combat and some great skill trees, it would be insane.

Best game ever made. There is objectively no rpg or video game in existance that can match the level of greatness in this game. The amount of quality content in this game is insane. If they had priced this game 120$, double the usual AAA game, I would have still bought it. It is literally a perfection.
What makes me sad is that we won't get to play a masterpiece of a game like this in the near future. Bethesda, EA, Bioware, Ubisoft, X big developer can't even imagine to create a game like this. Only Cyberpunk 2077 will be able to surpass Witcher 3.
CDPR and Witcher 3 are truly the masterminds of gaming.
