That's like complaining about a sequence of CoDs set in the past when in actuality it featured diverse shit like WWII, Vietnam War, etc. Yes, this is indeed a futuristic shooter but it's set in space in a different era. It's a copout to have it be set in the far future again just so the writers can flex their sci-fi writing ability and have free reign when it comes to gameplay, but the problem doesn't lie in the fact its a "futuristic shooter".
