Mass Effect 3 shit on the entire franchise. Drew Karpyshan was ejected from the project and his original vision for the story was not allowed to take place. They gutted the characters, the writing took a huge hit, the gameplay became reduced to "RUN AWAY FROM DA REAPERS" minigames, the whole product was a massive disappointment.

And it is shit. The level design is one fucking brown cave over and over, the infinite quests are meaningless Skinner Box tactics to make you feel like you're accomplishing something, the mechanics are extremely simplified and much of the depth is lost.

Pandaland, on the other hand, went full retard with it's content that primarily consisted of daily quests and daily chores (remember Farmville?). Removed and/or reverted most of the stupid changes that 343i made in 4, the current composer is a damn good replacement for Marty, the gameplay is some of the best since 3, it just overall feels much more like a sequel to 3 than 4 ever was.

I disagree. They made it playable by turning the gameplay into Titanfall Lite, and basically removing the rest of what made Halo's methodical arena style gameplay great. The skill gap was lowered yet again so the CoD kiddies would enjoy it. The only step in the right direction was removing loadouts again.

For a single or a couple subsequent playthroughs, maybe, still highly arguable but I'm willing to give you that.
If you keep playing over a long extended period of time as you would if you love grindy games, it starts showing plenty of flaws, and those things that apparently were improved upon from 1 become either a hindrance or are replaced by a thousand new more, then you start wishing you were playing 1 again, or some other game altogether.
The "writing" and having to endure it every single time doesn't really help its case.

Campaign wasn't shit, I take that back. There's just no 'wow' moments like in previous games. Having the Forward Unto Dawn land during The Ark, give you a tank, and have you fuck shit up was a really cool moment. Same with the TWO SCARABS during The Covenant. Even Reach had some good moments, like Long Night of Solace. The closest you get to this in Halo 5 is boarding the Kraken but it's really anticlimactic and boring.

ME2 was the high point of the series story wise it was a fun sci-fi adventure with some heartwarming character interaction (Besides with kaiden, but who cares) if you played the first game and carried over
