I loved it too, op. It's the best assault rifle in a videogame in a long time. The fact that is a really fast but actual proyectile based weapon made me hard. Hitscans are boring.

Honestly I thought the last level was dissapointing because I had better grenades, armor for every glory kill and enemies dropped BFG ammo. It was a breeze
I killed the Hell Guardian guys with only the shotgun and the last boss went down like nothing because I just spammed the BFG on it.

But campaign is best FPS in years.
They shouldn't have wasted money on multiplayer, it's already dead on PC and only TDM has any number of players on console. There's a season pass coming no one will buy.

Dancing between executions and alternate firing modes to cap someone in the distance awhile strafejumping into ledges is just too good.
Then a Hellknight jumps onto you and oneshots you, the death animation starts as fast you could executed him, showing the HK pummeling the shit out of your body with the same fury as you would.

It's one of the most advanced level editors I've used, and if you have the patience to learn you can make some cool stuff. Still nothing compared to proper mod support though.
And if you play on Ultra Violence (it's the "middle" of the 5, so you should start on it) and try find as many secrets as you can, the single player will last you longer than 10 hours. It took me 16 to beat on UV while trying to find secrets without obsessing over them (found about 75% on average each level). And it's a game you will probably come back to and replay one day.
£60 is still pretty steep though (I payed 69 Dollarydoo's) how much do you want to play it?

Does the regular shotgun have any use after you get the super one? With the upgrades it reloads really fucking fast anyway (not to mention most things are dead after 1 or 2 shots). I never found the triple burst shot to be super useful and I only found explosive shot useful until I got the rocket launcher.

Sometimes it feels like a waste going around wasting 2 rounds on an imp or zombie when you can just do it with 1.
It's also good if you want to go for a glory kill as more often than not the SG will kill instead of stagger.

I use it with the fully-modded burst, but only because I find it aesthetic and satisfying. It does work, for sure. Bouncing off the walls dumping bursts of 12 gauge is bretty fun desu. But it's kind of a personal choice. I'm switching between all my guns moment to moment anyway.
