This is 2016 anon. quake could get away with 10 tick because it was a simple game. We arent contrained by dialup or 125 kb/s internet speeds like the 90s. 60 tick is now the industry standard for fast paced competitive shooters, so why is blizzard exempt from following the golden standard. The only way i see blizzard getting a pass was if overwatch felt good to play in spite of its tickrate, like quake, or even titanfall.
