I used to use ZSNES because I didn't know any better and didn't realise I could play SNES games without the ear raping.
Downloaded the retroarch thingy and it runs perfectly.
I guess people with under average computers can't use retroarch and that's a shame but surely there are alternatives.

I use snes9x but you can't turn the volume down which is gay, because I like to listen to youtube videos sometimes when I play games. Not sure why anti-ZSNES people exist or why they're so zealous, it's still a good emulator and I guess they're mad about it. Like wow this old program is still good and is still chosen over more modern emulators that are still being worked on, fucking cry about it nerds.

Well, you see, there is this minor graphical glitch, in an obscure Japanese-only game which you've never heard of and don't care about. Completely ruins the entire emulator. It's impossible to have fun playing Donkey Kong, or Super Metroid or something because of this.

i've actually had some graphical problems in super metroid like samus' projectiles disappearing midshot
i emulated super mario RPG on zsnes two years back and it has some weird bugs that will lock you on the menu, and it completely locks up on the star screen after getting the star from that shark boss

ZSNES does not emulate the SNES's framerate lag properly. Ironically the Mega Man X games are some of the most notoriously laggy of the big name SNES games so your ZSNES experience with the game was significantly different than it would have been on original hardware. Whether or not this is a "problem" is up to you, but for most people the purpose of emulation is to recreate the experience of playing on a console with as much accuracy as possible.

The reason Zsnes is so fucking garbage is because of the input problems. it makes playing these games a fucking pain, because there is a bit of input lag.
Just get Higan and play it on balanced mode if your running on a toaster, the input is still much better.
